First Visit

We are always excited about meeting new patients during their first visit to our office. Your complimentary initial appointment will consist of X-rays, photos, a thorough examination and a discussion of treatment options. This important one-hour visit will address your orthodontic needs to determine if this is the proper time to begin treatment. We know your time is valuable, so to expedite treatment, we may also reserve time following the exam for diagnostic records, which includes impressions for study models, and takes an additional 15-20 minutes.

During the initial examination for each patient, we will address the following questions that cover the basics of orthodontic treatment. We encourage you to ask questions as well.
  • Is there a condition that orthodontics can address?
  • Is treatment needed now or should treatment be delayed until appropriate growth, tooth eruption or other factors have occurred?
  • What treatment procedures will be used to correct the problem?
  • How long will treatment take?
  • How much will it cost?
  • What are my payment options?
We can often answer these general questions about treatment during the initial examination.

For your first visit, please assist us by taking a moment to print and complete the appropriate forms by clicking either:   Adult   or   Child   New Patient Forms.

We know how important your time is, and by providing the following information before or at the time of your first appointment will help ensure a more efficient and well informed visit.

  • Completed New Patient Forms
  • Any panoramic X-ray taken within the past six months
  • Orthodontic insurance information
This important visit will address your orthodontic needs to determine if this is the proper time to begin treatment.
